She lives for those she loved .........

May 26, 1925 - April 13, 2009

It is with huge shock and great sadness, I have to inform you of passing away of Sheila Lobo,

my mother-in-law or mother-in-love, as I have seen her for the past 36 years…

She went to her rightful place in heaven, early this morning, about 5.30am, in our arms, as we were trying to get her to the front door to take her to the hospital…

She almost chose to depart for her heavenly abode on her own, as she didn't seem to live in pain and discomfort to her or others - for, she was ill only a few days, since she got a cold, which became invasive causing extensive chest congestion which prompted us to take her to the emergency

Tuesday, April 7th…But, she was discharged next day with anti-biotic and steroid medication to loosen her heavily congested chest…She struggled with the medication and the related discomfort for the next 3 days, but made a reassuring comeback Easter day, with her cheerfulness back, spending time with all our 3 boys, with Neal too visiting us home for Easter and her granddaughter visiting

from Canada…She even watched a little of the Masters' Golf event, as she loved sports so much…

She went to sleep early, but slept uncomfortably, with breathing difficulty throughout…We were readying her to take her to the hospital early this morning, when she breathed her last, right here

@ HAPPY NEST, that she has been such a big part of for the past 28 years…

She is a role model and inspiration for all of us, as she lived a life of deep faith, unconditional love of all and zestfulness that is rare…Her signature demeanor was her ever constant smile, even prompting Alan to choose 'smiling sheila' as her E-mail address…

If one can choose how to live and leave at their terms, hers is a guiding example…

In the words she herself chose for the inscription on her beloved husband's tombstone, when he passed away 32 years back, prematurely at the age of just 57…

SHE LIVES FOR THOSE SHE LOVED ...

AND THOSE SHE LOVED, REMEMBER…

We have lost a strong family member…but, we have gained an angel to look after us all…

In the truest spirit of Easter, she will come back to us in her divine form and will be with us forever…

R.I.P.
